OVER SIX MILLION RAND INJECTION TO FIGHT CRIME IN KZN.
KZN Community Safety and Liaison, Executive Authority, Honourable Thamsanqa Ntuli hands over four state of the art mobile Police Stations.
This handover is part of the Department’s commitment to improved crime prevention.
These Mobile Police stations will be strategically be utilized at identified crime hot spot areas such as Inanda, Mbonambi, Bulwer and Makhutha.
This intervention will improve Police visibility in crime hot spot areas.
” We want to see measurable crime prevention interventions in our province to ensure that we defeat the scourge of crime”, Executive Authority Ntuli.
Last year the department handed over 36 vehicles to the South African Police Service to ensure that we close the gap of a shortage of resources.
” We are working around the clock to establish functional community Safety Structures in our province to augment the work of law enforcement agencies”.
Ntuli urges the private sector to come on board and offer financial support to voluntary community crime fighting structures, to help them heighten the fight against crime.
