KwaZulu-Natal Department of Community Safety and Liaison, led by the Provincial Secretariat for Police Service, Mr. Ntokozo Mchunu attended a Gauteng Provincial Integrated Service Delivery Imbizo, led by Premier, Panyaza Lesufi, various members of his cabinet and leaders from Local Government and Amakhosi.
This integrated collaborative imbizo, focused on a plethora of Service delivery issues and interventions. The emphasis of this imbizo and a key learning curve for the KZN delegation was the importance of a well coordinated collaborative multidisciplinary law enforcement crime prevention operations that yield positive results, in terms of effecting arrest and galvanising Community involvement in crime prevention interventions.
The role of Community Policing was at the forefront during this benchmarking exercise.
