KZN Premier, Hon. Thamsanqa Ntuli, at his capacity as the Executive Authority for the Department of Community Safety and Liaison,together with the Acting HOD for the Department of Community Safety, Ma Nokuthula Khanyile led a Woman in Law Enforcement Roadblock, which then followed by a visit at Gagasini High School.
The Premier and the HOD were joined by MEC for Education, Sipho Hlomuka, eThekwini Metro Deputy Mayor, Zandile Myeni to conduct an inspection of CCTV cameras which is part of the Department’s crime prevention interventions and a major deterent to the scourge of stolen school resources.
The department is embarking on a heightened school safety and crime prevention campaign throughout the province.
The Executive Authority then proceeded to a meeting with Umlazi Community Safety Structures at Glebelands Hall, thereafter Honourable Ntulu will convene a crime prevention Imbizo at the Glebelands Stadium.
