This is one critical flagship and strategic programme of the department which assists in dealing with conflicts in different communities in the province and beyond. These conflicts can be between family and family, village against village, taxi industry related, traditional leadership conflicts, business sector/community conflicts, farming communities, and hostels just to mention a few. The programme has been very successful in addressing conflicts in areas like Umlazi Gleblands hostel, Kwa-Mashu hostel, Hluhluwe, Nongoma, Nquthu, Umsinga, Newcastle, Ladysmith, Richmond, Umshwathi and many other areas, Gauteng hostels also benefitted from the same program
