The sea breeze, sound of cruise boats and the few beautiful faces at the Men’s Seminar in the Point Waterfront Durban, on Thursday, 31 July 2025, could not distract men whose eyes and ears were glued under the gazebo where the different speakers were addressing from.
The Acting Head of the Department of Community Safety and Liaison, Ms Nokuthula Khanyile said, “As men of the Department of Community Safety and Liaison, you must be champions of peace at home, on the street and in the communities you are living in.” She said this delivering the message of support at the Departmental Men’s Seminar themed “Responsible Men, Safer Families, Stronger Communities”
Mr S Biyela of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Men’s Forum, spoke highly of a man as an exemplary at home and in the society in general.
The holistic wellbeing of a man is critical, hence Financial Management could not be left out, Mr P Mbambo from Sanlam spoke broadly on financial matters. Whereas Mr P Ndlovu touched the importance of taking care of the mental issues because are like internal bleeding with grave repercussions. One of our own, Adv. S Ngceza spoke on legal matters, and clarified critical social issues in the workplace versus some pieces of legal framework. While Mr M Ntombela put on emphasis on importance of men’s health in general.
