PURPOSE
The Department of Community Safety and Liaison has a Security Services Directorate which aims to provide effective security management for the department.
FUNCTIONS
- To undertake risk assessment on the security of the MEC
- To render Departmental Risk Assessment.
- To coordinate, facilitate and ensure the maintenance of the information, physical, IT and communication security procedures within the department.
- To develop and implement the internal Security Policy and Procedures.
- Coordinate security services for provincial Governmental Special Events.
- Implement the Minimum Information Security Standards Requirements (MISS).
